The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a fast-growing logistics and distribution business to recruit an experienced HR Manager to support their expanding operation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a people-focused, high-performance environment where HR plays a key role in driving culture, engagement, and operational success. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to shape and deliver the people strategy across a busy, fast-paced site.
The Role
As HR Manager, you’ll take ownership of the full HR function on-site, acting as a trusted partner to operational leaders.
This is a hands-on, generalist role where you’ll balance strategic input with day-to-day HR delivery—supporting everything from employee relations and performance management to recruitment, retention, and engagement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Acting as the lead HR contact for the site, supporting managers across all people matters
- Providing expert guidance on employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management
- Supporting recruitment activity to attract and retain top talent within a competitive market
- Driving employee engagement initiatives and supporting a positive workplace culture
- Partnering with leadership to support organisational development and workforce planning
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures are compliant with current employment legislation
- Supporting performance management processes and development planning
- Analysing HR data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role
- Background within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or other fast-paced environments
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Confident handling complex employee relations cases
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills
- CIPD Level 5 (or above) preferred
