Description
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new staff.
- Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring compliance with employment law.
- Assist with the implementation of HR policies and initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programmes for staff and managers.
- Analyse HR data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to improve organisational performance.
- Support the Human Resources team with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Profile
A successful HR Advisor should have:
- Provide proactive, day-to-day HR advice and coaching to line managers across the full employee lifecycle
- Advise on employee relations matters including performance, capability, absence, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and redeployment
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures and employment law, escalating complex or high-risk issues when required
- Support leaders to effectively manage workforce planning, retention, engagement and organisational capability
- Deliver operational HR activity aligned to organisational priorities, legal requirements and best practice
- Develop, implement and maintain HR systems, tools, processes and reporting mechanisms
- Produce and analyse people data and management information to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
- Lead or contribute to HR projects and change initiatives, including policy development and implementation
- Work collaboratively with recruitment, learning & development and wider People Services teams to deliver integrated solutions
