Description
We are experiencing an exciting period of growth and are looking for an HR Advisor to join on afixed term basis to support this expansion. This role will play a key part in ensuring our HR operations scale effectively, with a particular focus on visa and immigration support and core HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management cases.
- Lead or support investigations, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with legal requirements.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers.
- Advise on company policies, employment law, and HR best practices.
- Support managers in performance management and development discussions.
- Prepare, issue, and manage employment contracts, offer letters, and contract amendments.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant, and issued in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records in HR systems.
- Support visa and immigration processes, including right-to-work checks.
- Assist with sponsorship applications and liaise with external advisors where required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant immigration laws and internal policies.
- Support onboarding and induction processes for new hires.
- Ensure a smooth employee lifecycle experience.
- Ensure HR policies are up to date and compliant with current employment legislation.
- Support the implementation of HR initiatives and policy updates.
- Support organisational change processes, including restructure.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience handling employee relations cases.
- Experience drafting employment contracts and managing documentation.
- Familiarity with right-to-work checks and visa/immigration processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Ability to build effective working relationships.
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing sponsorship licence requirements.
