Interim HR Manager – Immediate Start Location: Kingston Upon Thames
Contract: Interim (Immediate Start)
Reporting to: Head of Human Resources (Operations)
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Interim HR Manager to join our Human Resources Directorate on an immediate basis. This is a key role supporting the delivery of a comprehensive, high-quality HR service across the Group.
You will partner with managers and senior stakeholders, providing expert advice and guidance to support operational objectives, while also contributing to strategic HR initiatives aligned with the Group’s Strategic Plan, Risk Register, and HR Operational Plan.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers across the full employee lifecycle
- Support the resolution of complex employee relations issues including:
- Disciplinaries
- Grievances
- Capability
- Absence management
- Tribunal preparation
- Assist in delivering HR strategies ensuring compliance with safeguarding and employment legislation
- Lead and support performance management processes, including termly reviews and case monitoring
- Produce and analyse HR management information, including case logs and absence data
- Support payroll processes through reporting on increments, changes, and absences
- Work collaboratively with Occupational Health and external bodies to manage absence cases
- Conduct job evaluations and advise on outcomes and implications
- Oversee and support HR Advisors/Assistants to ensure high service standards
- Deliver inductions and provide training on HR topics across the organisation
- Conduct exit interviews and report on trends to inform retention strategies
- Support policy development in line with legislative changes and best practice

About YouWe are looking for a confident and credible HR professional who can hit the ground running:
- Proven experience at HR Manager level (or equivalent)
- Strong employee relations expertise
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Ability to manage complex cases and advise senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Experience of working in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments
- CIPD qualification (desirable)
