- Partner closely with senior leaders, acting as a trusted advisor to shape and deliver people strategies aligned to business growth and acquisition plans.
- Lead on employee relations and industrial relations strategy, working closely with trade unions to maintain constructive and collaborative partnerships.
- Support and deliver M&A activity, including due diligence, integration, harmonisation of terms and conditions, and cultural alignment.
- Drive organisational design and transformation initiatives, including restructures and operating model changes.
- Provide expert guidance on complex ER matters, including collective consultations, redundancies, TUPE, and dispute resolution.
- Act as a key interface between the business and HR Centres of Excellence, ensuring seamless delivery of HR services.
- Champion key elements of the People Strategy, including engagement, leadership capability, diversity & inclusion, and performance management.
- Coach and influence senior stakeholders to enhance leadership capability and strengthen people management practices.
- Support talent management, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives across client groups.
- Use data and insights to inform decision-making and improve organisational outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and collective agreements.
- Mentor and develop HR team members, contributing to a high-performing HR function.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Proven experience operating as a Senior HR Business Partner in a unionised environment.
- Strong track record of managing industrial relations and working effectively with trade unions.
- Demonstrable experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and business integration activity.
- Deep expertise in employee relations, organisational change, and workforce planning.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align HR strategy to business growth objectives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
- Sound knowledge of employment law and regulatory frameworks.
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
