Morson is partnering with a composite manufacturer based in Bristol, who are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team.
Key Relationships:
- Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation to provide expert advice, solutions, and best practises in Health & Safety. Deliver integrated systems and initiatives, including annual audits and inspection programmes, alongside occupational health surveillance activities.
- Identify and nurture relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure Health & Safety and Environmental solutions meet requirements and support strategic objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to develop and implement the Health & Safety Roadmap.
- Produce high-quality reports, identify improvement opportunities, and lead the adoption of new processes.
Role Purpose:
- To serve as a trusted expert and partner to stakeholders, providing advice and delivering systems that position the Company as a leader in Health, Safety, and Environmental practises, ensuring full compliance with all legislative requirements and standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement best practises and integrated systems organisation-wide.
- HSE Management: Enhance and sustain the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management system by identifying gaps and driving continuous improvement aligned with the Estates strategy.
- Incident Management: Lead and contribute to incident investigation and resolution activities.
- Risk Assessment: Oversee risk assessments while mentoring colleagues to assume future leadership roles in Health & Safety.
- Metrics and Reviews: Implement and monitor key performance indicators, conducting reviews to ensure issues are promptly identified and addressed.
- Health Surveillance Coordination: Work alongside the Health & Safety Manager to manage health surveillance and Occupational Health referrals, ensuring accurate record-keeping and ongoing monitoring.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all compliance activities, including air and noise sampling, are completed thoroughly and documented appropriately.
- Specialist Support: Provide assistance to specialised disciplines and appointed persons (such as Environmental Officers, Radiation Protection Supervisors, and Laser Safety Officers) to support their duties.
