Your new companyOur client is seeking an experienced and values-driven Head of People & Organisational Development to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their workforce and organisational culture. Reporting to the Director of People & Operations and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, this is an exciting opportunity to lead people strategy, organisational development, employee experience and HR service delivery across a respected and compassionate charity.
As Head of People & Organisational Development, you will support the delivery of the organisation's people strategy and organisational development agenda, ensuring the culture, capability and workforce required to achieve its mission and strategic objectives. You will lead a high-performing HR function and champion a collaborative, compassionate, inclusive and responsive culture throughout the organisation.
Your new role
- Leading people strategy and workforce planning initiatives.
- Driving organisational development, culture change and employee engagement programmes.
- Overseeing HR operations, employee relations, recruitment and retention.
- Leading learning and development initiatives and talent management frameworks.
- Championing inclusion, wellbeing and employee experience.
- Managing payroll oversight, governance and compliance activities.
- Supporting workforce reporting, risk management and organisational decision-making.
- Managing HR and organisational development budgets and supplier relationships.
What you'll need to succeed
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience supported by a management qualification.
- Significant experience leading HR and OD functions within a charity, public sector or similarly values-driven environment.
- Strong expertise in organisational development, culture change and leadership development.
- Experience managing complex employee relations, workforce planning and HR operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working alongside senior leaders, Boards and Trustees.
- A passion for creating positive workplace cultures that support engagement, wellbeing, inclusion and high performance
