About the job.
We have an exciting opportunity available to join our HR Shared Services Team as a HR Advisor in Pay! As a HR Advisor, you’ll provide a customer focused service through providing timely support and guidance to our people in terms of their pay. You’ll also work closely with key stakeholders across HR and the business to swiftly resolve queries.
The queries and requests that the team handle can relate to Pension, Reward and Performance, PAYE, Third Party Deduction, Statutory Payments, Cycle to Work, P11D and more. The role requires a high level of detail to accurately process data, information, and requests.
Interviews are expected to take place during the week commencing 10 August, with a planned start date of 21 September.
- Provide first line advice and take responsibility for the accurate resolution of pay related queries to managers and employees.
- Perform data changes in Payroll systems and audit payroll data to ensure that we are providing a compliant service.
- Understand and be able to communicate HR policies, processes and procedures that impact pay to employees and managers.
- Accurately processing payroll elements on employee records with a right first-time approach and review payroll reports to ensure our people are paid accurately.
- Collate and monitor trends in queries and processes to suggest continuous improvement amendments as required.
About you.
- Payroll experience including Statutory Payments, P11D, Rewards, Pension, HMRC and basic tax queries, P11 calculations (desirable).
- Vocational or standard qualifications – either GCSE/A-Levels or NVQ/Apprenticeship.
- Some knowledge of HR policies and processes, with a mix of sector experience (desirable).
- Able to build and maintain strong relationships within HR and with our people.
- Experience of Microsoft Office along with solid verbal and written communication skills.
