Our client is a leading provider of specialist children's residential services, supporting children and young people with complex needs to develop independence, life skills, and positive outcomes. They are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Partner to join their team and support the development of staff across multiple residential settings.
About the role :
As a Learning & Development Partner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programmes to both new and existing employees within children's residential services. Drawing on your experience within residential childcare, you will equip staff with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to deliver outstanding support and care.
This is a hybrid position, combining home-based working with regular travel to services across the region. Candidates must be comfortable travelling between Cambridge, New market, Peter borough, and Bedfordshire/Shropshire, with approximately 50% of their time spent on-site delivering training and supporting operational teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging training programmes aligned with current legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Support the on boarding and development of new and existing staff.
- Deliver both face-to-face and virtual training sessions.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements where required.
- Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation.
- Keep training materials updated in line with legislative and sector changes.
- Act as a subject matter expert within designated areas of learning and development.
- Promote safe working practices and uphold health and safety standards.
- Support a culture of continuous learning, inclusion, and professional development.

Essential Requirements- Minimum of 3 years experience working within Children's Residential Services.
- Strong understanding of legislation, safeguarding, and best practice within residential childcare.
- Experience delivering training, coaching, mentoring, or supporting staff development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong administration, literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional workload.
- Willingness to travel frequently across Cambridge, New market, Peter borough, and Bedfordshire/Shropshire.
Desirable- Previous experience in Learning & Development or Training.
- Training, Teaching, Coaching, Assessing, or related qualification.
- Experience coordinating resources and training programmes.
