About The INKEY List
At The INKEY List, we believe skincare should be simple. We make science easier to understand, so everyone can make informed choices about their skin.
Since launching in 2018, we've challenged the industry by putting education, honesty and efficacy first. We listen to our community, create products backed by science and never overcomplicate what should be simple.
We Give A Care. About our customers, our community and the people who make The INKEY List what it is. We know our best work happens when people feel supported, trusted and able to be themselves.
About the role
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering and evolving the People experience across INKEY. You'll work across the employee lifecycle, from attracting and onboarding through to development, engagement, culture and the everyday processes that shape life at INKEY.
You'll work closely with leaders and colleagues across the business, understanding business priorities and translating them into practical People solutions, with a focus on creating simple, consistent and engaging experiences as we grow.
This is a broad, hands-on People role where priorities will flex with the needs of the business. At times, recruitment will be a significant focus, while at others, you'll be driving People projects, developing our employee experience or finding simpler and more consistent ways of working. You'll enjoy that variety, be confident taking ownership and be motivated by making an impact across the wider People agenda rather than one individual specialism.
Every role at INKEY contributes to making skincare simple, more accessible and more effective. This one is no different.
What you'll be doing
• Act as a trusted People partner across the business, understanding business priorities and translating them into practical People solutions, while confidently representing the People team and providing broader cover when required
• Own recruitment and talent acquisition, managing end-to-end hiring and partnering with managers on role scoping, attraction, selection, interviews and offers.
• Create a consistent candidate and onboarding experience, ensuring the experience we create before someone joins flows seamlessly into their first days and months at INKEY.
• Partner on workforce and talent planning, working with the Head of People and leaders to understand current and future people needs and translate these into recruitment and development priorities
• Review and evolve our People processes, mapping key employee journeys and identifying opportunities to make them simpler, more consistent and more engaging.
• Provide practical HR advice and ER support, confidently supporting day-to-day people matters and ER cases when needed, with the judgement to recognise when specialist input or escalation is required.
• Keep ahead of relevant employment legislation and upcoming changes, working with the wider People team to understand how developments may impact our processes and ways of working.
• Help shape our learning and development offering, identifying development needs and opportunities across INKEY, researching external partners and solutions, and recommending programmes that support our wider People and business priorities
• Help embed our INKEY Care Code, bringing it to life through our People practices, programmes and employee experience.
• Develop and bring our EVP to life and grow our People presence on social media, partnering with Social, Brand and Marketing to showcase our people, culture, careers and employee stories and strengthen our employer brand.
• Deliver engagement, culture and wellbeing initiatives, using employee feedback and insight to shape activities that strengthen connection, engagement and retention.
• Use People data, insight and feedback to influence People priorities, proactively identifying trends, opportunities and areas of focus and turning insight into practical recommendations.
• Continuously look for better ways of working, bringing curiosity and fresh thinking to how we deliver People initiatives and flexing into different areas of the People agenda as priorities evolve.
What we're looking for
We're interested in the person as much as the experience.
You'll likely have:
• Broad HR/People experience and a genuine interest in working across the employee lifecycle
• Strong end-to-end recruitment experience and the confidence to own hiring when the business needs it
• Commercial awareness and the ability to understand wider business priorities and translate them into practical People actions
• Experience reviewing, mapping or evolving People processes, with an eye for how different touchpoints connect and how consistency can create a great employee experience.
• Experience developing or delivering Learning & Development, internal training or capability-building initiatives.
• UK employment law knowledge, with experience supporting employee relations matters and the judgement to recognise when issues require specialist input or escalation. US HR/employment experience desirable.
• Experience delivering engagement, culture or employee experience initiatives and turning feedback into practical action.
• A genuine interest in EVP and employer brand, with ideas about how social media and storytelling can bring our culture to life.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities and shift focus depending on what the business needs most.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to build relationships with managers, leaders and teams across the business.
• A proactive, commercial and solutions-focused mindset, with a natural instinct to make things simple, consistent and effective.
• Experience in a fast-moving, growing or entrepreneurial business would be an advantage.
You don't need to tick every box. If you're excited about the role and think you could be a great fit, we'd encourage you to apply.
