Jigsaw Specialist Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded not-for-profit organisation in Dorset in the recruitment of an experienced HR Business Partner.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive HR team in a broad and varied role, working closely with the HR Manager to provide practical and professional HR support across the organisation.
As HR Business Partner, you will provide advice and guidance to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle, taking an active role in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, policy development, organisational change and employee wellbeing.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing confident advice and guidance on a range of complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and flexible working cases
- Supporting managers through formal processes, investigations and hearings
- Managing recruitment and onboarding activity, working closely with hiring managers throughout the process
- Reviewing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice
- Supporting and managing TUPE and redundancy processes, alongside wider organisational change and HR projects
- Supporting employee engagement, wellbeing and long-term absence initiatives
- Producing and analysing HR data and reports
- Providing guidance to HR Administrators and deputising for the HR Manager when required
About you
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident operating at HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar level. You will ideally have:
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
- Strong experience managing complex ER casework
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience across recruitment and onboarding
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- The confidence to advise and influence managers at different levels
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for business use
Experience within a multi-site or not-for-profit environment would be advantageous, although isn't essential.
The package
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Location: Dorset
Hybrid working: Approximately one day per week, subject to the needs of the organisation.
