Senior HR Officer (Initially a 2-Month Placement)
Location: Llansamlet, Swansea
Contract: Initially a 2-Month Placement
Salary: £28,742.18 per annum (Grade E)
Hourly Rate: £14.74 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Holiday Entitlement: 33 days including public holidays (pro rata)
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR Officer to join their HR team in Llansamlet, Swansea on an initially 2-month placement.
This role will provide operational HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, reporting, and compliance activities. Acting as a key point of contact for employees and managers, you will support the delivery of an efficient and professional HR service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and pre-employment compliance checks.
- Maintain accurate HR records and systems in line with GDPR requirements.
- Process employee lifecycle changes including starters, changes, and leavers.
- Respond to HR queries and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
- Support employee benefits administration and performance management processes.
- Produce HR reports and documentation for audits and management information.
- Assist with HR projects, policy updates, and service improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate training administration and maintain training records.
- Ensure HR activities comply with organisational policies and employment legislation.
Essential Requirements
- 2 to 4 years' experience within an HR support or HR Officer role.
- Good knowledge of HR practices, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle administration.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
Desirable Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards a professional HR qualification.
- Experience in benefits administration, HR reporting, or compliance activities.
- Experience in a fast-paced or multi-site environment.
- Welsh language skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (reasonable adjustments will be considered).
