This is a broad generalist position combining strategic business partnering with hands-on HR support. You will work closely with senior leaders and managers to deliver practical people plans, strengthen management capability and support continued business growth.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with senior stakeholders and managers to translate business priorities into effective people plans.
- Act as a trusted adviser and first point of contact for a broad range of HR matters.
- Manage employee relations cases, including performance, absence, disciplinary, grievance and flexible-working matters.
- Coordinate Occupational Health referrals and support complex or long-term absence cases.
- Coach managers to handle people matters confidently, fairly and consistently.
- Analyse HR data, including headcount, turnover, absence and engagement trends, to identify risks and recommend action.
- Support performance management, objective setting, feedback and employee-development discussions.
- Contribute to talent management and succession-planning activity.
- Work with Learning & Development colleagues to identify capability gaps and create appropriate interventions.
- Lead or contribute to people projects, organisational change and process improvements.
- Help foster an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing working culture.
About you
- Proven experience in a generalist Senior HR Advisor, HR Manager or HR Business Partner position.
- Strong employee relations experience and a sound working knowledge of UK employment law.
- Confident coaching and advising managers through sensitive or complex situations.
- Able to build credible relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of how effective people practices support business performance.
- Comfortable interpreting HR data and using insights to inform decisions.
- Experience supporting performance, talent and organisational-development initiatives.
- Proactive, organised and detail-focused, with excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience within professional services or another commercial environment would be advantageous.
