I am recruiting an experienced HR professional to join my Client's senior HR team as an HR Business Partner (Senior HR Lead). Working closely with the Executive Director of HR, you will provide strategic and operational HR support across the organisation, advising on complex employee relations matters, organisational change, employment law compliance, safeguarding, and workforce planning.

Key Responsibilities:
HR Advisory & Employee Relations
- Provide expert guidance on disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, performance, redundancy, TUPE, restructuring, and change management matters.
- Support managers in resolving complex people issues while minimising risk.
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain legally compliant and aligned with best practice.
Business Partnering & Leadership
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and managers.
- Coach and support managers to strengthen leadership and people management capability.
- Drive workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and organisational development initiatives.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Lead HR service delivery across allocated business areas.
- Oversee the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, pre-employment checks, family leave, performance management, and exits.
- Maintain compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies.
- Support safer recruitment and ensure accurate HR records.
Organisational Development & Change
- Lead and support organisational change, restructures, and HR projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and service delivery.
- Support delivery of the organisation's People Strategy.
Reporting & Engagement
- Analyse workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Produce management reports and workforce insights.
- Build strong relationships with Trade Unions, Occupational Health providers, and key stakeholders.
- Promote wellbeing, inclusion, equality, diversity, and a positive workplace culture.
Person Specification:
Essential
- Significant generalist HR experience at HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, HR Manager, or similar level.
- Extensive employee relations expertise and strong knowledge of UK employment law.
- Experience managing complex casework, organisational change, restructures, and workforce transformation.
- Proven ability to influence, coach, and advise managers.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, safer recruitment, and right-to-work compliance.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding.
Desirable:
- CIPD qualification (Level 3, Level 5, or equivalent).
- Previous people management experience.
- Experience within a regulated environment.
- Experience leading HR projects and change initiatives.
Ideal background: HR Business Partner, HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor, People Partner, Employee Relations Manager, or a similar HR professional with strong employment law and employee relations experience.
