Reed HR are currently working with a growing Not for Profit organisation who are looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor for initially 2-3 months and is full time in the office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing expert support across a broad range of employee relations and generalist HR activities.
The successful candidate will join a supportive HR team and play a key role in advising managers, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and driving best practice across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.
- Manage employee relations cases from inception through to conclusion, ensuring fair and compliant processes.
- Support formal HR meetings and provide practical, solution-focused advice to stakeholders.
- Build effective working relationships with managers and employees, supporting the resolution of people-related matters.
- Liaise with external legal advisors on employment law and employee relations issues where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and organisational policies.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and wider employee lifecycle activities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and documentation.
- Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and HR reporting.
- Coach and support managers in the effective application of HR best practice.
Person Specification
Essential
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases independently.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Desirable
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or currently working towards completion.
- Previous experience within the care, health, or social care sectors.
- Experience supporting managers across multiple sites or locations.
