HR Manager opportunity working for a leading organisation based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Wakefield office based and offers hybrid / home working. This role is a full-time permanent role 40 hour contract There is travel required in the role to their sites in the North of England as and when needed.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Providing HR advice and support to managers on all HR and employee relations matters.
- Producing Weekly management reports.
- Producing and sending offers of employment.
- Ensuring that leavers forms are completed by managers for Payroll purposes and that the relevant deductions are being made.
- Supporting managers with long term sick and general absence management.
- Providing training to managers on HR topic areas.
- Utilising Apprenticeship Levy Fund for company-wide training.
- Producing monthly HR up-dates on changes to the business, leavers and starters.
- Producing and up-dating company policies and procedures.
- Implementing new HR schemes and initiatives.
- Main point of call for recruitment of staff.
- Checking that recruitment requisitions are completed by managers.
- Administrator for the time and attendance system.
- Responsible for adding new starters and removing leavers to HR system.
- Creating new starter files.
- Conducting annual review of all company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for logging all personal injuries and acting as main point of contact for the insurance provider for all PI claims.
- Responsible for responding to reference requests.
- Responsible for sending reference requests for new starters.
- Responsible for auditing the HR records.
- Responsible for producing and sending HR letters to employees i.e. disciplinary invite letters etc.
- Providing support to managers in appeals, grievances and when needed disciplinary meetings.
- Provide advice and support to the Management team of any relevant changes and updates regarding employment law in liaison with 3rd party HR advisors.
- Responsible to gathering the raw data for annual pay reviews and gender pay gap reporting.
- Dealing with general HR queries.
- Undertake any additional training appropriate and relevant to the performance of the role.
- Responsible for supporting with the induction process for new starters.
- Responsible for sending out exit questionnaires to leavers and gathering and recording the data.
- To comply with all H&S policies and procedures.
- To undertake any additional duties in line with capabilities required.
The salary is paying up to £55,000 DOE plus company car or car allowance plus Benefits.
