HR Advisor
Location: Glasgow (Site-Based) Contract: Permanent Salary: Competitive + Benefits
The Opportunity
Our Glasgow-based client is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join their busy HR team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being hands-on across the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on Employee Relations.
Based on-site at the company's modern and welcoming premises, you will work closely with managers and stakeholders to provide pragmatic HR advice and support, helping to drive positive employee engagement and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of employee relations matters.
- Manage ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management and investigations.
- Support managers through complex people issues, ensuring best practice and compliance with employment legislation.
- Coach and develop line managers on HR policies, procedures and people management practices.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and employee retention initiatives.
- Assist with HR projects and organisational change activity where required.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience.
About You
- Previous experience working in a generalist HR Advisory role.
- Strong Employee Relations experience, with confidence managing a high volume of cases independently.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- CIPD qualification or working towards accreditation would be advantageous.
