HR Advisor
Full Time | Permanent | Fully office based
Reed HR are delighted to be supporting our client with the recruitment of a HR Advisor to join their established HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing practical people advice and managing a varied employee relations caseload.
Working closely with senior HR colleagues and line managers across the business, you will play a key role in delivering a proactive and commercially focused HR service while helping to create a positive employee experience.
The Opportunity
This role would suit an individual with previous HR advisory experience who is confident handling employee relations matters and enjoys building strong working relationships across an organisation. Alongside day-to-day HR support, you will have the opportunity to contribute towards wider people initiatives, policy development, and continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear, commercially focused guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of HR and people-related matters.
- Partner with line managers to ensure company policies, procedures, and employment law are applied consistently and effectively.
- Take ownership of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, and performance cases.
- Serve as a key contact for day-to-day HR queries, delivering a responsive and customer-focused service.
- Produce and manage HR correspondence, records, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with external organisations, including Occupational Health providers and other professional advisors, as required.
- Monitor, review, and enhance HR policies and processes to reflect legislative changes and industry best practice.
- Contribute to the delivery of training workshops, manager briefings, and employee development initiatives.
- Play an active role in HR projects and continuous improvement activities that support engagement and strengthen the employee experience.
About You
Our client is looking for someone who can quickly build credibility and confidently support managers across a range of HR matters.
You will ideally have:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification, or equivalent HR experience.
- Previous experience within a HR Advisor, People Advisor, or Employee Relations focused role.
- Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage cases independently.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Experience liaising with external stakeholders such as Occupational Health providers.
- High levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Good IT and administrative skills, including report writing and HR systems experience.
- A proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused approach.
