The Role
Specialist Care provider is looking for an organised and approachable HR Administrator to support its
employees and managers across several specialist care services.
This is a varied role covering HR administration, recruitment, employee relations and employment
compliance. You will help manage work visas and sponsorship records, complete DBS and right-to-work
checks, coordinate recruitment and provide administrative support during employee investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Monitor work visas, sponsorship documentation and expiry dates
- Complete right-to-work checks and maintain compliant records
- Process DBS applications, renewals, references and pre-employment checks
- Advertise vacancies and manage incoming applications
- Shortlist candidates and arrange or support interviews
- Prepare offer letters, contracts and new-starter documentation
- Coordinate onboarding and employee inductions
- Arrange investigation, disciplinary and grievance meetings
- Prepare correspondence, take meeting notes and compile supporting evidence
- Monitor probation reviews, absence and employee changes
- Respond to routine HR queries from employees and managers
- Produce recruitment, compliance and HR reports
- Support the continued improvement of HR processes and procedures
About You
You will ideally have previous experience within an HR Administrator, HR Coordinator or similar role. You should be confident supporting recruitment and employee-relations processes, with a good understanding of right-to-work, DBS and pre-employment checks.
- Experience managing visa or sponsorship records would be particularly valuable, as would experience within health, social care or another regulated environment.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Good IT and HR-system skills
- A professional and approachable manner
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A CIPD or relevant HR qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

- Salary of £28,500 per annum, depending on experience.(Pro Rata)
- Permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
