An immediate start opportunity for an Interim HR Advisor to join a well established multi academy trust based in Tamworth that is currently managing a significant schools transfer programme. This is a great fit for an education HR professional who enjoys being the go to contact for school leaders and can hit the ground running.
About the role You will be the first point of contact for head teachers and school leaders across a group of primary schools, providing practical, timely HR advice with a clear route to senior colleagues for anything significant. You will also support the due diligence work taking place as schools prepare to transfer to new trusts, so this role offers broad exposure during a busy and interesting period.

- Support schools that need additional leadership and HR support, building strong working relationships
- Manage low level employee relations cases and absence matters, escalating appropriately

- Assist with TUPE related queries and information requests from receiving trusts
- Advise on policy, terms and conditions and best practice for teaching and support staff
- Work closely with senior HR advisors and business partners as part of a supportive central team
What we are looking for
- HR advisory experience within the education sector, ideally schools or academies (essential)
- Confident handling queries independently and knowing when to escalate
- Able to build rapport and credibility quickly with school leaders
- Knowledge of teaching and support staff terms and conditions
- Exposure to TUPE or academy conversions is an advantage
- Flexible, resilient and comfortable with change
- Enhanced DBS, ideally on the update service (we can support with this if needed)
Why apply
- Immediate start with a competitive, negotiable day rate
- Hybrid working with flexible hours
- Join a supportive central team at an important time for the trust
- Broad experience across a large, multi school organisation
- Option to be paid on a day rate or a fixed term contract
