Payroll and Reward Operations Manager

The Opportunity:
Our client, a global organisation with operations across multiple regions, is seeking a Manager to join their UK Reward team. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving operational excellence across payroll, benefits, compliance, and reward initiatives, while leading a team of three.
The position offers the chance to work closely with international colleagues and senior stakeholders, as well as to manage high-profile third-party provider relationships. It’s an excellent opportunity for a reward professional looking to take the next step in a complex, global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee employee tax and compliance, supporting audits and risk assurance processes.
- Manage key third-party providers including ADP, Mercer, and share/insurance benefit partners, with the confidence to influence at senior levels.
- Lead and develop a team of three, ensuring the delivery of accurate, compliant, and timely payroll.
- Drive continuous improvement, digitalisation, and best practice within reward operations.
- Manage recognition plans with a group-wide approach.
- Partner closely with Finance, HR, and international Reward Managers to ensure global alignment.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong technical expertise in employee tax, compliance, and service management.
- Proven experience managing complex vendor relationships, particularly ADP and Mercer.
- Experience with benefits management, incentive schemes, and recognition programmes.
- Line management experience, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- International exposure and the versatility to work across different markets.
- Personal qualities: resilience, adaptability, and strong stakeholder management skills.
