Manchester City Council are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Officer to join their HR Operations Service. This temporary role is crucial for supporting the organisation through the full recruitment cycle, including advertising, coordination of pre-employment checks, and onboarding processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the full recruitment cycle, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
- Coordinate pre-employment checks and manage onboarding processes for new hires.
- Utilise applicant tracking systems (ATS) to streamline recruitment activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and documentation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with potential candidates and internal teams, adapting communication styles to suit different audiences and situations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Solid IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) to support recruitment processes.
- Working knowledge of recruitment practices and/or DBS legislation is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally in both written and verbal forms.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
