This Interim Head of HR job ideally starting in January 2026 is available on a 12 - 14 month contract
You will be joining a leading, national financial advisory firm that consists of over 450 staff, specialising in providing investments, pension and life insurance advice to thousands of customers. The business has an excellent employee NPS score and delivers a fantastic, supportive team culture.
As Interim Head of HR, you will be reporting directly to the CEO and leading a team of 4 / 5 HR staff. The 2026 strategy and projects have been set, therefore they are looking for an experienced individual, capable of maintaining a steady ship and delivering on the planned projects.
As such, you will be involved in variety of HR related projects and be part of various steering committees for the benefit of the overall group companies. You will be accountable for developing best practice for people management from reward, recruitment, talent management and ongoing communications. Plus, you will support the People team deliver an excellent function on relationship building and supporting managers to increase their capability on people related issues.

Head of HR Requirements
- Due to the business being regulated by FCA and nature of this role, successful candidates will be required to undertake criminal record and credit check and need to meet FCA ‘fit and properness’ standards
- You must have excellent knowledge of all HR processes and procedures including UK employment law
- Previous generalist HR experience within a Financial Services firm is desired
- Looking for pragmatic, appreciative approachable individuals with a firm but fair leadership style
- Experience of managing a HR team would be advantageous

- Salary of £60,000 - £70,000 plus up to 15% bonus based on achieving agreed metrics
