We are seeking a dedicated HR Officer to join a school in Reading on a temporary basis to cover maternity, 1 day per week. This role requires a professional with expertise in human resources to support key HR operations effectively.

You'll be joining a collaborative, hard-working team of educators and administrative staff at a local school in Reading, The school has 30 members of staff and provides education for 300 students, with a specialism in STEM, who a part of a wider trust. You'll be standalone for HR based at the campus, but will have the support of a wider group HR function. Description
The HR Officer will:
- Support the HR department with recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Assist in maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
- Provide guidance to staff on HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate training sessions and development programmes.
- Prepare HR reports and analyse data for decision-making purposes.
- Ensure adherence to employment laws and organisational policies.
- Collaborate with various departments to address HR-related needs.
Profile
A successful HR Officer should have:
- Previous experience in human resources, ideally within Education but other backgrounds will be considered.
- Proficiency in HR coordination.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Job Offer
- Competitive daily rate of circa £130 per day PAYE.
- Part time work, with 1 day per week on offer.
