Senior Health & Safety Officer – Based Dundalk, ROI – Salary c£55k pa + excellent benefits
My client is a leader in the off-site prefabrication industry across Ireland and the UK.
Due to a period of expediential growth, I am recruiting for a Senior Health and Safety Officer on a Permanent basis to support their site based in Dundalk.

Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide HSE advice and support to the HSE Manager, other managers, supervisors, and colleagues across the company
- Develop strong working relationships at all levels and promote a culture of engagement and continual improvement
- Lead and develop HSE Officers and Administrators
- Create and maintain safe systems of work (RAMS etc.) and ensure their effective application
- Conduct HSE Site, Workshop, and Equipment inspections and maintain records
- Complete incident investigations and implement improvement measures
- Attend necessary meetings and deliver regular toolbox & induction talks
- Plan, review, and record emergency preparedness across all company locations
- Communicate professionally with clients and customers, representing the department and the company positively
- Undertake any other duties as deemed necessary by Management
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- Minimum of 3 years proven HSE experience, preferably in New Build and M&E construction environments
- Experience in conducting health and safety audits and creating RAMS for complex works
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and technical standards.
- Accident and incident investigation experience
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational, planning, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and independently to achieve self and team targets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to travel to other sites across Ireland and the UK
- Full UK Driving licence
Desirable Criteria:
- Chartered membership of IOSH or working towards
- NEBOSH Diploma or working towards
- ISO Knowledge (45001, 9001, 14001) and ISO internal auditing qualification
- Appointed Person Qualification and Train the Trainer Qualification
