HR Advisor

We are seeking a dedicated HR Advisor to join our client's team. This role is crucial for delivering the company’s HR strategy and fostering a positive organisational culture. The ideal candidate will manage various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and policy development, ensuring effective service across the organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage the UK Analyst recruitment process, including shortlisting, conducting initial interviews, liaising with universities and recruiters, and attending career events.
- Oversee the onboarding and induction of new starters and support the recruitment of other roles as needed.
- Provide comprehensive HR advice and support to managers on all HR-related matters.
- Build effective relationships within the organisation to support and encourage retention.
- Advise on and contribute to the development of HR policies and ensure compliance with company procedures and legislation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, handle visa applications, and manage monthly payroll notes.
- Produce regular reports and metrics to measure the progress of HR strategies and plans.
- Organise and maintain schedules for professional development, including CFA training for the Analytical team.
- Participate as a member of the HR Committee and undertake ad hoc HR projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within financial or professional services.
- Experience recruiting for technical professional roles and providing HR support to highly technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices in recruitment and selection.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
- Good organisational skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Friendly and approachable, with the ability to model company culture and handle sensitive matters professionally.
