We’re recruiting an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy, operational HR team supporting managers across a fast-paced environment.
This is a hands-on, generalist role where you’ll act as a trusted partner to managers, providing pragmatic, commercially sound HR advice while ensuring a positive colleague experience and compliance with UK employment legislation.
The roleAs HR Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for people-related matters, coaching and supporting managers to effectively manage their teams. You’ll work closely with the HR Business Partner and wider HR functions to deliver consistent, fair and high-quality HR support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for managers on HR policies, procedures and people issues
- Providing clear, practical advice on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, sickness absence and wellbeing
- Supporting managers with payroll, time and attendance queries, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Partnering with the HR Business Partner on more complex employee relations cases
- Supporting core HR activities such as recruitment, performance reviews, salary reviews and training initiatives
- Assisting with change processes and organisational activity
- Reviewing and updating job descriptions in line with business needs
- Maintaining accurate ER case records and trackers
- Using HR systems and people data to identify trends, support decision-making and drive continuous improvement
- Supporting colleague engagement initiatives and cyclical HR activities at regional and global level
About youYou’ll be an experienced HR professional who is confident working in a commercial or operational environment and comfortable advising managers at pace.
You’ll bring:
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
- Proven experience providing HR advice and coaching to managers
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels
- A pragmatic, solution-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- A commitment to inclusion, diversity and creating a positive workplace culture
- Must hold a UK driving licence and have access to a car
- 4 days onsite 1 working from home
- There will be a need to travel to other sites once a month
