Senior HR Advisor - 12-month FTC
- Location: Shawbury, with occasional travel to Oxford
- Job Type: Full-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract
- Hours: 37.5 per week, 5 days a week on site
We are seeking a Senior HR Advisor for a 12-month fixed term contract. Based in Shawbury with required travel to Kidlington, Oxford, this role is crucial in providing high-level HR support across dual locations. You will play a key role in supporting HR Business Partners to harmonise practices and facilitate the successful integration of regional HR functions into a cohesive, high-performing team.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Review, update, and maintain organisational policies, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and best practices.
- Lead policy reviews, coordinate stakeholder input, and manage the approval and publication process.
- Provide first-line HR advice and guidance on day-to-day matters including policy application, absence management, conduct, and performance.
- Coordinate the full end-to-end recruitment process and ensure an engaging induction experience for all new starters.
- Maintain and update employee records within the HR Information System (Workday), ensuring data integrity and compliance with GDPR.
- Support strategic HR initiatives and business projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) preferred or equivalent experience.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Demonstrable experience in managing a range of employee relations cases.
- Highly proficient in using HR data systems (e.g., Workday) to maintain records and report on HR metrics.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust across all organisational levels.
- Must be willing to work in multiple locations and travel as required.
