You’ll lead on a wide range of HR projects, with a strong focus on disciplinary and grievance investigations, while also supporting customers with complex employee relations matters, restructures, safeguarding issues, and wider people challenges. What you’ll be doing
No two days are the same, but your role will include:
- Delivering high-quality HR consultancy projects, from investigations through to hearings, restructures, and policy development
- Leading disciplinary and grievance investigations, producing clear, well-reasoned reports and supporting documentation
- Working directly with Schools and Academy Trusts, both remotely and on-site, offering confident, pragmatic HR advice
- Attending and presenting at formal hearings and appeals, including dismissals, when required
- Supporting union consultation meetings and navigating complex employee relations issues
- Managing your time effectively, accurately recording consultancy days and supporting fair and transparent invoicing
- Spotting opportunities where additional consultancy support could add value, such as mediation, training, or governance support
- Working closely with colleagues across the HR Advisory and Consultancy teams, sharing knowledge and supporting development

What we’re looking for
We’re not looking for someone who ticks every box, but you’ll ideally bring:
- Solid experience in HR Generalist or a senior HR advisory role
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, particularly disciplinary and grievance investigations
- Confidence working with key stakeholders, if you have experience with schools, academies, or similar complex organisations (or a genuine interest in the sector) it is highly desirable
- The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and sound judgement
- Strong written skills, with experience producing professional reports and documentation
