RM Recruit are pleased to be working with a Birmingham based organisation, who are seeking a highly organised and proactive HR Administrator to join their team on a temporary, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR administrator to support a busy HR function, with the potential for the role to become permanent. This role is based onsite Monday – Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a professional, efficient, confidential, and proactive HR support service
- Produce high-quality, accurate work that meets deadlines and is professionally presented
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures and maintain the policy schedule
- Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related enquiries, delivering excellent customer service
- Manage all recruitment administration through to appointment
- Prepare offer letters, contracts, and contract variation letters as required
- Process DBS checks, pre-employment medical checks, and related documentation in line with current guidance
- Prepare HR induction packs for all new starters
- Process changes to role, grade, or pay in line with agreed procedures
- Support the Human Resources Advisor with payroll and pensions administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Assist with annual appraisals, performance management, training, and development administration, and pay review processes
- Maintain accurate logs and monitoring records, including pecuniary interests, equal opportunities, ER cases, recruitment feedback, training records, probationary reviews, and sickness absence, producing reports as required
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in an HR administration role, ideally within an education or public sector environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident handling confidential and sensitive information
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work proactively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
