Employee Relations Partner
Location: Redhill (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 from home)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
The Role:
The Employee Relations Partner will act as a trusted advisor to managers on a wide range of employee relations matters. The role is responsible for ensuring a fair, consistent, and legally compliant approach to ER cases, while promoting a positive and proactive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides expert advice to managers on employee relations matters including performance, conduct, absence, disciplinaries, and grievances.
- Manages a range of ER cases, including complex and high-risk situations.
- Supports investigations, hearings, and outcomes in line with company policy and employment law.
- Coaches and guides managers to build confidence and capability in handling ER matters.
- Monitors and tracks ER cases, ensuring accurate records and reporting.
- Identifies trends and provides insights to improve processes and reduce risk.
- Works closely with trade unions and supports communication between stakeholders.
- Liaises with occupational health and external legal advisors where required.
- Ensures policies and procedures are applied consistently across the organisation.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in an Employee Relations role, ideally within a unionised environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident in handling complex and sensitive cases.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
