Working as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking People Team, you will act as a trusted partner to managers and employees across the business. Your guidance will help uphold excellent people practices, support a positive culture, and ensure HR processes are fair, consistent, and aligned with employment legislation.
What you’ll be doing
In this varied and rewarding role, you will:
- Provide clear, pragmatic HR advice to managers and employees, ensuring consistent application of policies and best practice
- Support and lead on a wide range of employee relations cases such as disciplinary, grievance, performance, and probation, attending meetings and conducting investigations where required
- Work closely with People Business Partners to deliver high-quality HR support and training across the organisation
- Coordinate short and long-term sickness cases, including Occupational Health referrals and case reviews
- Use people data and MI to identify trends, support retention, and provide insights from onboarding and exit interviews
- Support change programmes and advise on contractual matters during restructures or organisational shifts
- Contribute to the ongoing development of HR policies, processes, and guidance materials
- Champion the organisation’s culture and values through every interaction, helping build an inclusive and high-performing environment
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring:
- Extensive experience working as an ER generalist in a fast-paced, professional environment
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and awareness of emerging HR best practice
- Confidence in managing a wide range of ER cases, including note-taking and offering on-the-spot advice in meetings
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders effectively and deliver commercially minded HR solutions
- A collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel occasionally between offices when needed
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience), which is desirable rather than essential
