HR Advisor Cambridge | Hybrid (3 days office-based)Salary - £35,000 - £38,000 We’re working in partnership with a growing and values-driven organisation to recruit an experienced HR Advisor with strong employee relations capability.This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR generalist who enjoys hands-on ER work, building trusted relationships with managers and operating to a high standard of detail and consistency.The roleAs HR Advisor, you’ll support managers across the business, acting as a trusted advisor on a wide range of employee relations matters. Working closely with the HR Business Partner and HR Director, you’ll take ownership of ER cases from end to end, ensuring best practice, quality and fairness throughout.The role is predominantly office-based in Cambridge, with hybrid working (minimum 3 days in the office – no parking however very close to the Cambridge train and bus station)Key responsibilities
- Provide high-quality advice on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence
- Act as a sounding board for managers, coaching them through complex and sensitive situations
- Manage health-related cases, including occupational health referrals
- Advise on HR policies, procedures, wellbeing and engagement initiatives
- Own and analyse exit interviews, identifying trends and insights
- Support payroll accuracy and assist with TUPE transfers and occasional one-off projects
- Ensure HR systems and data are accurate, using Excel to produce reports and insights
About you
- CIPD qualified (Level 5 preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ generalist HR experience with strong ER exposure
- Confident managing complex employee relations cases
- Detail-oriented with intermediate Excel skills
- Strong communicator with excellent judgement and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence (required for occasional site visits)
