Working arrangement: Hybrid, 2 days onsite in Cambridgeshire
We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to work in a business partnering model, supporting managers with a wide range of employee relations and organisational change matters. This role involves providing expert advice, managing casework, and helping drive effective people management across services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance to managers on all employment matters
- Support and coach managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, and redundancy cases
- Assist with change management projects, including restructures and TUPE
- Build strong relationships with Trade Unions to maintain positive employee relations
- Analyse HR data to identify trends and support decision-making
- Contribute to HR projects and policy development
- Deliver training and support organisational development initiatives
- Support job evaluation and pay/reward processes
Key Requirements
- Must have local government experience
- Proven HR experience, particularly in employee relations casework
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Experience supporting organisational change and restructures
- Experience using HR data to inform decisions
- Understanding of Trade Union engagement
