HR Manager – Fixed Term Contract 12 months
Full Time – 37.5 hours per weekBased in Norwich, East Anglia
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation in the East Anglia region. This is a fixed-term position.
Working from the Norwich office, you will lead the regional HR function and play a key role in delivering the organisation’s people strategy while overseeing day-to-day HR operations. This is a fully generalist role, handling the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and HR administration.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys variety, and can confidently provide professional HR guidance to managers and employees. You will help maintain continuity and high-quality HR delivery across the region, ensuring best practice and compliance with current UK employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HR function for the region
- Provide expert advice on HR matters and employment law
- Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle
- Oversee HR processes, documentation, and compliance
- Support line managers with performance, ER matters, and people development
- Contribute to people strategy initiatives and upcoming system implementation projects
About You
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at HR Manager level
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident using HR information systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience with MHR iTrent is beneficial but not essential, particularly with a new system implementation planned
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is desirable
- Sector experience within construction is advantageous but not essential
