The Team and Focus of the Role
We are passionate about inspiring the next generation to build rewarding careers in Surveying and Property. You will be an advocate for our Hidden Talent strategy and help expand our reach by showcasing our career pathways, culture and progression opportunities to various different working groups and professional institutions.
We’re looking for someone who excels at building genuine relationships at all levels — from school leavers taking their first career steps (apprenticeships, virtual insights, summer placements, etc) to senior professionals and Partners. If you thrive in a role that’s dynamic, people-focused and purpose-driven, and you enjoy making a visible impact on how we grow and diversify our workforce, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Based from either our Birmingham or Ashby de la Zouch office under our hybrid working model, this is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week). Core hours are typically 8:45am – 5:15pm, though some flexibility will be needed during peak periods such as events, careers fairs and interview cycles. Travel to other offices and institutions will be an important part of the role.
In return, you will benefit from a competitive salary and package including:
· A discretionary bonus scheme
· Car Allowance
· Private Healthcare
· A generous holiday scheme which commences at 25 days with a sliding scale up to 30 days plus an additional day for your birthday, and additional days to cover the festive period!
· Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave
· An online money saving portal
· Death In Service cover, alongside access to an Employee Assistance Programme which includes health appoints for you and your family
· Volunteering Leave equating to 2 days per year (pro rata if you’re part-time)
Duties will include:
· Build, nurture and maintain strong relationships with universities, colleges, schools and educational partners, supporting the delivery of our Early Careers Strategy and helping individuals understand the diverse opportunities within our profession.
· Identify, develop and deepen relationships with non-traditional and community-based talent groups
· Represent Fisher German at careers fairs, outreach events, panels and community engagements, confidently showcasing our culture, career pathways and progression opportunities to a wide range of prospective talent.
· Support the full Early Careers events cycle during peak recruitment periods, contributing to planning, coordination and delivery to ensure smooth and professional candidate experiences.
· Assist with milk-round interviews and assessment activities for our Early Careers cohorts, helping identify individuals with potential to flourish within the business.
· Collaborate closely with the Early Careers and Talent teams to identify, engage and nurture individuals from non-traditional, emerging or under-represented talent pathways, supporting a more inclusive and diverse workforce.
· Play an active role in key internal development initiatives, including our Virtual Insights Programme and Summer Placement Scheme, ensuring participants have a positive and meaningful experience.
· Provide flexible support across a variety of people-focused and outreach-related activities, contributing to the team’s wider mission of inspiring the next generation of surveyors and property professionals.
The successful candidate will have...
· Previous early careers experience and/or marketing/events background
