HR Manager

Reed HR have partnered with a fantastic company are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead all HR operations within the growing manufacturing business. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with managers and Board-level stakeholders, delivering commercially aligned, compliant, and people-focused solutions in a fast-paced and transformational environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and develop the HR function, including line managing the HR & Payroll Advisor and fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
- Operate at senior leadership level, providing strategic HR insight and contributing directly to Board-level decision-making.
- Review and implement a new HRIS, enhancing reporting capability and operational efficiency.
- Provide expert guidance on employment law, organisational policy, and best practice, assessing risk exposure and delivering pragmatic, commercially sound solutions.
- Proactively identify organisational risks and people challenges, coaching managers to strengthen leadership capability and improve case management outcomes.
- Support complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant processes.
- Monitor and benchmark compensation and benefits, recommending retention and reward strategies aligned to market trends.
- Manage benefits and pension administration, maintaining strong relationships with external providers.
- Oversee end-to-end monthly payroll processing, ensuring full statutory compliance, accuracy, and governance.
- Lead internal and external payroll and people-data audits, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years previous human resource experience.
- Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Sage 50 Payroll and Pension Salary Sacrifice is advantageous.
- Experience using a HRIS, ideally Bright HR.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Confident and enthusiastic with a desire to learn and develop yourself and others through continuous training.
- IT literate and fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proactive character of high integrity, accountability, and flexibility.

Working Hours:
- Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week, between the hours of 8am–5:30pm with a ½ hour lunch (option for 1 hour lunch with finish at 5:30pm).
