Strategic HR Business Partner
Location: LondonContract: 12 month FTC
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client in a global, exciting engineering firm. This role is crucial for providing strategic support to a defined client group and their leadership team, focusing on aligning people practices with business needs and providing practical HR support.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work closely with business leaders to design effective team structures and optimise ways of working.
- Support workforce planning by identifying current and future skills and resourcing needs.
- Advise leaders on change, communication, and people-related decisions.
- Provide coaching and guidance on performance management, career development, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with HR teams such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Reward, and Employee Relations.
- Support recruitment, development, and retention activities within the client group.
- Monitor key HR data (e.g., hiring, retention, development) and support actions to address issues.
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
- Support employee engagement activities, including surveys, feedback, and action planning.
- Manage key HR processes such as performance reviews, merit, and bonus planning.
- Provide advice to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance cases.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed correctly and consistently.
- Support local employee and labour relations in line with legal requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an HR Business Partner or similar generalist HR role.
- Good understanding of performance management, talent development, and employee relations.
- Confidence in working with and advising managers and senior stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
