Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a growing, fast-paced manufacturing organisation to recruit a HR Business Partner. This is a key role within the UK HR team, supporting a large, evolving, site-based workforce during a period of transformation and growth.
This isn’t a sit-back HR role. It’s hands-on, operational, and suited to someone who’s comfortable being visible on site, influencing at all levels, and dealing with the reality of a busy, (unionised) blue-collar environment.

Reporting into the HR Manager, you’ll partner closely with operational leaders to deliver a consistent and effective HR service across the site. You’ll play a central role in aligning people strategy with business objectives while ensuring employee relations, performance, and engagement are managed proactively.
Once embedded, the role will be roughly split between 50% ER and 50% broader HR activity, including workforce planning, development, and change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities of the HR Business Partner:- Partner with managers to deliver people strategies that support both immediate and long-term business goals
- Lead on a wide range of employee relations cases, from investigation through to outcome and appeal
- Coach and support line managers on performance, absence, conduct, and capability
- Support organisational change initiatives including restructures, shift changes, and contract changes
- Drive engagement, development, and retention initiatives across a diverse and ageing workforce
- Manage and improve onboarding, training, and development programmes
- Ensure performance management processes are embedded and effective
- Contribute to HR reporting, analysing trends in absence, turnover, and performance
- Support payroll processes and ensure compliance across HR systems
- Build strong working relationships with employees, managers, and representatives where applicable
- Deputise for the HR Manager when required
Key Skills & Experience required:- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a site-based, operational or manufacturing environment
- Strong employment law knowledge and confidence managing complex ER cases
- Experience working in a unionised environment is highly advantageous
- CIPD Level 5 (minimum) or working towards
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with evolving systems
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions
