As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead the organisation’s people strategy, culture, and workforce development. Your work will ensure we have the capability, capacity, and values-led culture required to deliver their mission and support people in need across their communities.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, shape, and deliver the People Strategy, ensuring it aligns with organisational goals, values, and long-term ambitions
- Build leadership and management capability at all levels, designing and embedding development programmes that promote confident, values-led leadership
- Provide senior oversight of HR operations, recruitment, volunteering, and people processes, working closely with the HR Manager and wider People Team
- Champion robust, modern employment policies, ensuring legal compliance, best practice, and alignment with organisational culture and values
- Act as a trusted coach and adviser to senior leaders and managers, strengthening people management skills and supporting teams in a complex and demanding environment
- Use people data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the organisation
What We’re Looking For
- Significant senior-level experience in People / HR leadership, with a proven track record of managing employee relations, people operations, and leading organisational and cultural change
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice, alongside experience in organisational development, workforce wellbeing, and strategic people planning
- A strategic and forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to translate vision into practical, impactful actions that strengthen teams and organisational performance
- A compassionate, values-driven leadership style aligned with the organisation’s mission and ethos
