HR Manager/Consultant (Generalist) - Financial Services Clients
Location: Central London (near Bank Station) | Hybrid (3 days office: Mon/Wed/Thurs, 2 days home)Flexible: 4-day week considered (Mondays essential)
Are you an experienced HR generalist ready to step into a more strategic, client-facing consultancy role?
This is a genuine opportunity to move beyond a traditional in-house position and join a small, highly successful niche consultancy supporting Financial Services clients across London. You will act as a trusted HR partner, delivering hands-on, high-quality advice while shaping and improving HR functions across multiple organisations.
You will work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, both on-site and remotely, providing end-to-end HR support. This role is ideal for a confident HR Advisor or Manager who enjoys variety, autonomy, and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and review HR functions for new and existing clients
- Assess, update, and implement HR policies and procedures
- Act as an outsourced HR department, managing onboarding, HR admin, and benefits
- Implement and manage HR systems (including cloud-based platforms)
- Lead on Employee Relations matters including grievances, disciplinaries, redundancies, and TUPE
- Conduct health and safety assessments on client sites
- Draft contracts of employment and support with settlement agreement amendments
- Deliver project-based HR support tailored to client needs
About You
- 4+ years' experience in a 360 HR generalist role (Advisor, Manager, or Consultant)
- Strong Employee Relations expertise (essential)
- Proven experience supporting multiple stakeholders or external clients
- Confident, professional, and commercially aware
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Experience with HR systems (Cascade Go HR desirable)
- Proficient in MS Office
Qualifications
- CIPD Level 5-7 (essential)
- Degree educated (preferred)
