HR Advisor
- Job Type: Initial 4-month Temporary Contract

- Pay Rate: £16.46 per hour (PAYE)
Transport for Greater Manchester are seeking an HR Advisor to provide proactive generalist HR advisory support, serving as the first point of contact for managers on a range of issues in addition to supporting temporary contract recruitment and secondments. You will provide Employee Relations support across various cases, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to line managers on employee relations casework in line with policy and procedure, with support as required from the HR Partners & Head of HR Delivery.
- Address a range of complex employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management.
- Collaborate with Trade Union representatives to ensure that ER cases are handled in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide support to temporary and fixed term contract recruitment processes including onboarding and job evaluations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in providing HR advice and support within a professional HR department.
- Strong understanding of Employee Relations casework including interpretation of policies, supporting managers, and note-taking at meetings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a wide variety of people at all levels using different methods.
