HR Administrator
Join my clients dynamic team as a HR Administrator, where you will provide essential administrative support across various functions including HR, communications, governance, and executive tasks. This role is pivotal in ensuring our systems and processes operate smoothly, allowing our leaders to focus on fostering a supportive environment for our staff and students.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely administrative support across the HR team, including HR, marketing, and governance functions.
- Manage the shared inbox, draft correspondence, type meeting notes, and prepare documentation for approval and signature.
- Coordinate diaries, schedule meetings, and maintain the team calendar.
- Maintain supplies and resources for the team and support the organisation of events such as INSET days and learning sessions.
- Maintain accurate employee data in our school management and people systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Support pre-employment and onboarding checks in line with safer recruitment requirements.
- Prepare offer letters and contracts, liaising with our external payroll provider as needed.
- Ensure a warm, professional welcome for new colleagues, volunteers, and visitors, providing them with necessary onboarding materials and building access.
- Assist with absence reporting, documentation, and data collection for reporting and payroll.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum grade 4 GCSE in English and Maths; higher grades desirable.
- Experience in an administrative role supporting busy teams or leaders.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office, HR or management information systems, and document management tools such as DocuSign.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information sensitively and accurately.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- A genuine interest in people and commitment to embodying and promoting the organisation's values and culture.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in a school, trust, or similar environment.
- A professional qualification in Business Administration, Recruitment, or HR.
This role requires and enhanced DBS.
