Are you an experienced HR Manager looking for a varied part time interim role where you can drive meaningful change and support key people initiatives?
We’re supporting purpose driven organisation to appoint an Interim HR Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Director of People, delivering key HR projects while supporting day to day HR operations.
This is a part time role working 21 hours per week over 3 days. They are initially offering the role on a 10 month fixed term contract basis.
They offer a hybrid working policy. You will work 1 days per week in their office based in Charing Cross with the remainder of the week working from home.
Salary £46,120 per annum – (£27,672 pro rota)
Role
This is a broad and hands-on HR position combining project work, employee relations, and organisational development. You’ll play a crucial role in enhancing staff engagement, shaping training and development initiatives, and strengthening core HR practices.
Key responsibilities
- Leading staff engagement initiatives, including managing the Staff Engagement Committee and delivering a wellbeing programme
- Designing and implementing a comprehensive onboarding and induction framework across the organisation
- Developing and delivering training for managers, with a focus on inclusive recruitment and best practice
- Creating and supporting the annual training and development plan, including sourcing external providers
- Advising on complex employee relations matters and supporting managers with HR guidance
- Overseeing key annual HR processes, including performance reviews, salary increments and leave entitlements
- Supporting HR operations and providing cover for HR processing when required
- Driving continuous improvement across HR policies, systems and processes
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and adaptable HR professional who can balance strategic project work with operational delivery.
You will ideally have:
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)
- Strong generalist HR experience, including managing complex employee relations cases
- Experience delivering HR projects, particularly around engagement, onboarding, or L&D
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A strong understanding of training, development and performance management best practice
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with HR systems or data
- Good Excel and PowerPoint skills
