HR Advisor / HR ConsultantCity of London | Hybrid – 2 days in office£70,000 – £80,000 C&C Search is currently partnering with a highly regarded professional services organisation to recruit an experienced HR Advisor / HR Consultant into a varied, client-facing advisory role. This is a brilliant opportunity for a confident HR generalist with strong employee relations experience who enjoys working commercially, building trusted relationships and providing practical, risk-aware HR advice. The role will be approximately 80% focused on supporting an external member/client base of around 200 organisations, with 20% supporting internal HR activity. You will act as a trusted HR advisor, supporting clients with a broad range of people matters including employee relations, performance management, absence, disciplinary and grievance, restructures, consultation processes, policy, process, documentation and employment-law-adjacent HR guidance. This is not a solicitor role, but a strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice is essential.Key responsibilities will include: • Providing clear, practical HR advice to clients across a wide range of employee relations matters• Supporting clients with performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes• Advising on restructures, consultation processes and associated documentation• Drafting and reviewing HR policies, contracts, letters and process documents• Identifying employment relations, reputational and commercial risk, and providing pragmatic recommendations• Building trusted, responsive relationships with senior stakeholders and external clients• Collaborating with internal specialists to deliver joined-up client support• Supporting internal HR activity as requiredWe are looking for someone who brings: • Strong HR advisory, senior HR advisory, HR consultant or HR manager experience• Excellent employee relations capability• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice• Experience advising multiple stakeholders, business areas, sites or clients• A calm, credible and highly client-facing style• The ability to translate HR complexity into clear, commercial and practical guidance• A process-minded approach, with confidence creating and improving HR documentation• CIPD qualification preferred This role could suit someone coming from an outsourced HR, HR consultancy, professional services, SME, financial services or founder-led environment. It may also suit an in-house HR professional looking to move into a broader, more externally facing advisory role.
