About the Role:
This role is responsible for leading and delivering HR support and change initiatives across multiple European countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium and Spain.
The position requires strong experience operating in complex, multi-country environments with a high degree of employee relations and regulatory complexity.
Fluency in German and French is essential to effectively lead Works Council (Betriebsrat) and CSE engagement, consultations, and communications.
What You Will Do:
Strategic & Operational HR Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across Europe, providing pragmatic, business-aligned HR guidance.
- Deliver both strategic and hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle.
- Partner with leadership teams to build organisational capability, support business growth, and drive workforce planning initiatives.
- Translate business strategy into actionable people plans aligned to regional priorities.
Employee Relations, Legal & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws across multiple European jurisdictions, including management of Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements where applicable.
- Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes.
- Maintain and adapt HR policies and practices to ensure alignment with local legal requirements and organisational needs.
- Manage relationships with employee representative bodies, including:
- German Works Councils (Betriebsrat)
- French CSE
- Other representative forums across the region
- Lead consultation processes, ensuring robust documentation, legal compliance, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
- Support annual compensation cycles, including salary reviews, bonus processes, and pay adjustments.
- Contribute to job evaluation, grading, and benchmarking activities across the region.
- Partner with reward and payroll teams to ensure accurate and compliant delivery of pay and benefits.
HR Operations & Systems
- Ensure accurate and compliant maintenance of employee data and documentation.
- Manage HR transactions, organisational changes, and workflows within Workday.
- Generate and interpret HR data and reports to provide actionable insights to the business.
Change Management & Projects
- Contribute and support cross-border HR projects and transformation initiatives, including integration and organisational change programmes.
- Deliver project milestones across multiple European locations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Drive effective communication, stakeholder management, and adoption of change at all levels of the organisation.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Proven HR Business Partner experience in a multi-country European environment.
- Strong knowledge of European labour law and employee relations frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience working with Works Councils and/or employee representative bodies (essential).
- Fluency in English, German and French (essential).
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Points if You Have:
- Additional European languages – Dutch, Spanish.
- Workday experience.
- Experience working within a global US based organization.
What Makes You Eligible:
- You are willing to travel, if necessary.
- Ideally, you live near Eindhoven but we may consider other locations. Because this is a hybrid role, commuting to an office will be required each week.
- Due to the nature of global infrastructure, you understand that flexibility in working hours is required.
