If you're an experienced HR Business Partner who thrives on solving complex people challenges, enjoys influencing senior leaders and has the credibility to navigate high-profile employee relations matters, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact.
We're supporting a large, multi-site organisation within the hospitality/retail sector as they look to optimise their people function and ensure it is fit for purpose. As part of this journey, they're looking for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of complex employee relations, employment tribunals, policy and governance, allowing the wider Business Partnering team to focus on strategic culture, organisational development and business transformation.
This isn't a caretaker role. You'll join at a pivotal time, working closely with the senior People leadership team to shape how employee relations, compliance and people governance support the future of the business.
What you'll be doing
You'll work as a trusted partner to senior operational leaders while acting as the organisation's expert on complex employee relations and employment risk.
Your remit will include:
- Leading complex and high-risk employee relations cases through to resolution.
- Managing an active employment tribunal caseload, working alongside external legal partners to deliver commercially sound outcomes.
- Developing and reviewing HR policies to ensure compliance with evolving employment legislation and organisational needs.
- Leading people governance and compliance initiatives across the business.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice.
- Supporting organisational transformation, helping embed a more effective People operating model.
- Coaching HR colleagues and providing specialist guidance on complex employment matters.
- Managing and developing a small team of HR Advisors, ensuring they are delivering and coaching best practise.
About you
You'll be a commercially minded HR professional with significant experience operating in fast-paced, multi-site environments.
A successful candidate will have:
- A strong background in Senior HR Business Partnering or HR leadership.
- Extensive experience managing complex employee relations and employment tribunal cases.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and practical application of policy.
- Experience balancing commercial objectives with legal and employee risk.
- The confidence and gravitas to influence senior leaders and challenge constructively.
