Global Logistics provider (Air, Ocean, Road and Contract Logistics) seeking an HR Business Partner due to internal promotion based in the Lichfield area.
Job Purpose
To participate as a key member of the HR department in the delivery of the HR strategy/ plan in line with business goals and commercial needs of the business driving high performance across the departments, bringing operational and employment law knowledge to champion best practice and creative mindset to bring excellence in recruitment, L&D, Talent Acquisition and Succession Planning.
To build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor to managers driving growth, culture and employee engagement.
Providing operational and generalist expertise to guide and support employees and managers with all employee relations matters ensuring collective responsibility for the delivery of a professional support service to the business.
Duties:

- Manage complex employee relations issues in line with employment law,ACAS guidance and company policies.
- Produce monthly management reports, analyse data to identify trends and inform HR decisions, including turnover, sickness absence, lost time, mandatory training and inclusion data.
- Support Diversity, Equality & Inclusion initiatives and drive employee engagement across the departments.
- Review and update HR Policies and Procedures within UK & Ireland ensuring that they remain compliant, consistent and current.
- To act as the point of contact and lead on trade union access requests.
- To represent HR on the QHSE Committee Meetings.
- Support and strengthen manager capability through coaching, training and knowledge sharing.
- To support the HR Coordinator in processing all life-cycle correspondence including new starters, contract amendments, family friendly policies and leavers as and when required.
- Audit new starter UK & Ireland inductions, Global Induction training.
- Audit New Starter DBS and 5 year background checks, Right to work, Visa, Immigration status and Organigrams quarterly.
- Lead on Management Inductions introducing them to HRMIS, Policies and Procedures.
- To manage short term and long term sickness cases with line managers efficiently and effectively .
- To work with the UK managers/ supervisors on all areas of recruitment and selection in line with current legislation and company procedures and standard practice.
- To work with the Head of HR, in the implementation and delivery of the appraisal process, personal development plans and the identified training needs in line with agreed targets set by Germany (Head Office).
- To provide support to the appropriate line managers in liaison with the Head of HR in potential redundancy and TUPE transfers.
- To work with the Head of HR & Global HR to ensure that the UK is fully compliant with global anti-bribery and corruption training. To ensure mandatory Business Code of Conduct training is assigned to new starters and completed in a timely manner.
- To maintain the UK HR intranet pages with key information and current policy and procedures timely.
- Coordinate the UK internship programme and being a primary point of contact for all interns both prior to and during their stay in the UK
- Coordinate and work alongside the National Health and Safety Manager for all Work Experience requests and being the primary point of contact for all work experience arrangements.
- Any other HR Duties deemed fit for the grade of post.
