Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the organisation's Learning & Development strategy in line with business objectives.
- Manage the team member learning journey, including onboarding, induction, mandatory training and professional development.
- Design, develop and facilitate engaging in-house learning programmes, blending learning solutions using face-to-face, virtual and digital learning methods.
- Conduct organisational learning needs analysis and workforce capability assessments, partnering with managers to identify skills gaps and development priorities.
- Coordinate external training, qualifications and apprenticeship programmes.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), training records and compliance reporting.
- Monitor and evaluate learning effectiveness and learner experience, making recommendations to support continuous improvement and organisational capability.
- Manage the Learning & Development budget and resources effectively.
- Lead, coach and develop two Training Coordinators.
- Oversee Test Centre operations, performance, revenue, quality standards and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with CITB and ECITB awarding bodies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement initiatives to maximise Test Centre utilisation, revenue generation and candidate satisfaction.
- Produce reports and insights on learning, compliance and operational performance.
Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification in Learning & Development (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Essential
- CIPD Level 5 qualification in Learning & Development (or equivalent experience).Significant experience in Learning & Development, Training or Talent Development.
- Experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning programmes using classroom, virtual, and digital methods.
- Previous people management or supervisory experience.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills to engage and influence a wide range of audiences.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyse data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
Desirable:
- Experience within hospitality, customer service or multi-site environments.
- Experience managing and coordinating with external training and apprenticeship providers.
- Experience with leadership and management development.
- Knowledge of CITB and ECITB requirements.
- Budget management experience.
