My client is a professional services firm with a strong presence in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. They are seeking an HR Executive to join their People & Talent team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of HR functions in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support the People & Talent Partner in delivering specific HR projects and new initiatives focusing on recruitment, policy and procedure review, talent attraction and retention, learning and development, and enhancing internal HR processes.
- Handle general HR activities including onboarding new joiners, managing leaver processes, and ensuring flexible working and family leave requests are handled in accordance with policy and legislation.
- Maintain up-to-date electronic personnel records, including contractual information and correspondence, and manage our HR Database.
- Contribute to policy reviews and updates, including initiating policy enhancements.
- Organise learning and development/training sessions and handle employee queries while maintaining cordial relations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant HR role, ideally within professional services.
- Preferably CIPD qualified (minimum Level 5) or equivalent.
- Experience with HR databases; knowledge of Cascade HR software is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills, capable of managing multiple duties and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanour with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a natural sense of urgency.
- Demonstrates utmost discretion, confidentiality, and close attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and associated HR software.
